It All Adds Up

Want to hear about another series of events both past and future that have me in a real angry mood right now?

Well, where should I start? I had a psychology exam this morning... at ten! That's right, I had to answer 100 questions about random psychology at ten in the morning! I actually spent three hours or so last night studying for it.

I felt horribly worn out after that exam. Then I had about an hour to finish some chemistry lab junk which really sucked. After that I had an appointment at 12:30 to participate in some alcohol research survey thing for which I receive credit for my psychology class. This was a one-on-one interview and I answered questions about alcohol and such for over an hour. Then at 2:30 I had the chemistry lab that all that junk from earlier was due for. Luckily it only went an hour, after which I went back to my suite.

At five I had dinner with a few of my friends and then drove to K-Mart and Party City to get some Halloween costumes with four of my friends. Since one of my friends left his hat at the K-Mart, I ended up driving from campus to East Syracuse to North Syracuse, back to East Syracuse to get the hat, and then finally back to campus via one of my friends' frat house. Weeeew! By then it was nearly nine.

So that was the day and now I get to tell you about some of the other things that are pissing me off! First of all, some Apple loan I took out to buy a new laptop got messed up because of sales tax (long story). Since I'm really pissed I am going to call them up at eight tomorrow morning, which is when they open.

Then I'm trying to get a plane ticket to Austria for Winter Break. The fares keep swinging between $650 and $1029. I even found one for $550 on one of those random sites that don't tell you the airline until after you book. Supposedly the flights are on "major U.S. carriers." Too bad that when I click on the fare I get some sort of error.

Then I have to schedule my classes for next semester! I have to set up an appointment with an advisor and all that junk. Then I have to register from a computer lab because the damn thing supposedly doesn't support Mac OS X. Furthermore, this has a hurdle as well, as my "SUnix" account doesn't work in the computer labs for some reason! I also have absolutely no clue what classes to take and where to go with my life!

And lastly, I can't find one of the video tapes (of the AIS Prom this summer) that I want to edit and send to one of my friends! I looked through like forty tapes and none contain the footage!

Seriously, this is hell! Oh, and I still have a few class assignments to do here and there! I might spend the night at home tomorrow (90 minutes away) just to chill out somewhere else for once!

Better Than Expected

This day has actually been going better than I expected! I got my textual studies mid-term back (the one I wrote at home two weekends ago), and actually got a "C" on it. This is better than I expected since the professor had announced in class that the grades ranged from "B" to "D." Seeing that I don't get that class at all I was sure I had gotten a "D" on it. The "C" isn't bad at all since we can rewrite the papers for a better grade, so I'm shooting for a "B" which isn't bad for a class I'm not particularly interested in. The professor is pretty cool though.

Chemistry... All right, after taking that test last week I felt like absolute shit! I seriously thought I only knew two of the fifteen questions! I don't even remember getting any solutions that worked for most of the questions! Somehow I got twelve out of fifteen questions right! Out of around fifty test scores for the test form I used there were only five that were higher by mine. I don't know how the test will be curved, but I hope I get an "A-" or something like that.

Now I have to finish up some stuff for my writing class, which I don't understand at all! Great!

Clipping the Eagles

Today I and 45,312 other fans went to the SU / Boston College game. We won 39-14 and it was fun and almost worth the $17 for a student ticket!

Afterwards I hung out and helped intimidate the BC team and their fans. BC is switching to the ACC conference along with Miami and Virginia Tech, which sort of screws us over because that only leaves one good team to play from now on, West Virginia. So everybody made sure to tell BC that they are a bunch of traitors. Here are some pictures (Click on any to view it full sized and full quality):

Extra Point Attempt SU attempts an extra point after a touchdown.

Making fun of Boston College 1
Some freshmen wait for BC to leave the Carrier Dome with a sign that reads "Farewell Tour '03 Don't Let the Door Hit Ya on the Way Out!"

Making fun of Boston College 2
After finding out that the BC team was leaving through another gate, they rushed around and found them getting on their busses on the right. Sadler Hall (the red brick building) and Lawrinson Hall (the gray 21-floor tower) are in the background.

Filmed, Dogsat, Watched Movie, Wrote Essay

Thursday I had by first job assignment which was to film a lecture at SUNY Upstate Medical University. I stood for a long time, which gave me a backache. But I also learned about a million ways people can die due to different kinds of heart failures!

There were no classes Friday, and I basically just sat around for several hours and then drove home. That was easier said then done, since I got into a huge traffic jam and ended up avoiding it by exiting and using US-11 for a few miles. But by that point I had already spent an extra thirty minutes in slow-moving traffic. After exiting I stopped at a very nasty Mobil station and had the pleasure of using their unisex bathroom. It was obvious that the only reason they had a unisex one was that their other bathroom was in disrepair. There was a "Men AND Women" Post-It note on the one that was open. Surprisingly the toilet flushed and there was soap by the sink!

Once I made it home I ate a bit and then did basically nothing!

Saturday I also did absolutely nothing!

Sunday I did nothing for most of the day (well I got up at one) and then hung out with Sergey and his friend. We ate some Chinese (food, not the people) and then watched The Rundown.

After having some cake and tea at Sergey's apartment and driving his friend home it dawned on me that I still had a lot of writing to do for my English textual studies midterm essay. Well, me being me, I put that off some more, and then spent the morning hours finishing it.

I then drove back to college and handed it in and barely stayed awake in that class. Then I slept for a few hours.

Today I had my psychology class at 10. I then walked to CVS and bought some deodorant and mouthwash. Then I had my three-hour chemistry lab from which I was able to escape from after two hours.

After dinner I went to do some survey thing to get research credit for my psychology class. It was all about anti-Islamic stereotyping.

And tomorrow is the hellish five-class Wednesday! And I have a chemistry exam! Wonderful!

One-Day Week

Well this past weekend I didn't do much. I sort of saw it as a vacation. I spent some time back-archiving this weblog. I guess I'm back to like August of last year now.

Yeah... I also devoted a good part of my weekend trying to get people from my high school class to post on my "AIS 2002" site. That actually worked!

I guess both Sunday and Monday I went to Soundgarden downtown. It's a pretty cool store. They got raided last week by the Secret Service and the recording industry for having hundreds of pirated CDs. I think that boosted their business.

Monday I also aimlessly wandered around in the Carousel Center, and spent like nearly $4 on ice cream at the Coldstone Creamery... I think that's what it's called. They like lift a bunch of ice cream out of a container and then slap it on a counter and beat it to a pulp with the toppings of your choosing. It's pretty strange.

Then yesterday I got trained for my new job at the Video Production Unit. It was pretty cool. At least I got a bit more respectable job than last year's janitorial assistant, although I didn't mind that job at all. It was pretty cool actually.

Well today's Wednesday/Hellday with five classes. But that's my entire week, so it's all cool.

This weekend I'm going home to watch my dog... Fun! But then again, two of my suitemates are going to Boston, and there's no home football game, so it would probably be boring here as well.

Job, Long Weekend

This past week was very long and boring. The good thing is I got a job as a video production assistant. That made my week. Last night I partied at UC, which is always fun. There are no classes Monday (Yom Kippur) or Friday (Fall Break). I have no classes on Thursdays, and only one on Tuesday, so my entire week is basically going to consist of Wednesday.
