I hate to quote Hobbes, but "life is nasty, brutal and short."

Just when it seemed the world for a few days had found some sense of peace and cooperation; terrorists attack the metro system of London. This time it feels even more surreal then Madrid, New York or Moscow. Not only is it shocking as the horrendous events of the past, but it comes in point when there just was slight ray of hope for the world. People around the world have demonstrated peacefully for the good of humanity in the last few weeks: Live 8, Edinburgh and so on. The G8 summit poised to "look" at poverty and London celebrating the Olympic 2012 announcement.

Absolutely terrible!  I was woken up at 5 am this morning by my suitemate who was crying.  She lived in London all of last year for her study abroad and I guess a lot of these bombings took place in the exact location where she lived, so she is very concerned for her friends.  I sincerely hope that all of our friends in London are alright.
I just saw the news and now I feel all depressed. Even though rationally, having read and heard so many analysis about terrorists and their motives in the last few years, deep down I still want to scream WHY? WHY DO THEY DO THIS??!

Sorry for the outburst...
