w00t. err, anyway, I guess nobody wants to post in here.

What's hot today? Well, I guess bombs in Iraq are hot, especially when they explode.

Political situation in Ukraine is hot also, but who gives a fuck about Ukraine anyway? (It's okay for me to say that, but not for you ^_^)

We've probably had more wars in the last 50 years than in the 500 years before that. Well, that's probably not true, but doesn't it look like the world has gone to shit?

Anyway.

It seems as though the world gets worse as times passes yes. Personally I think it all started with the loss of morals, and when the needs of individuals were placed in front of the nations. but that's just my opinion.
hm, my dad spent about three weeks or so in the ukraine helping to monitor both elections...

hm...i don't really have anything political to say...except maybe that all people should go ahead and die out already and leave the plants and animals to peace.

Politics suck!  And I'm annoyed that Bush is President for 4 more years!

Both candidates were shit, so...
this is true...
Well, I'm glad that Bush made it back. But then again I'm a military brat so that was sort of obvious.

it is true that the military is more republican...i remember being at the ship the day after the election and they were all so happy about the reelection. heh. it was a good day. :D

oh...clarification- the ship is actually the USS Intrepid which is an aircraft carrier that's nowbeen turned into an air, space, and sea museum...its one of my most favouritist places in the world, its where my OSO is, and, ladies and gentlemen, it is where i'm planning on having my commissioning. weeeee!

I don't consider myself conservative or liberal.  I'm probably more of a libertarian, but I would have preferred to see Kerry in office as opposed to Bush.  I just don't trust that man!
Pardon my asking, but why would you be pro-Bush if he's more likely to send you to war/keep you in the war longer? Now I know Kerry wasn't about to end the war the day he took office, but it appears to me Bush has no problem being at war for the entire duration of his second term.
That's what people dont understand. Kerry was for the war too and he said that there's no way he could let us lose the war after putting so much effort into it. So either way, we would've stayed in the war. So why in the hell would you bring in a new coach at halftime?  The only thing Kerry was focusing on was to try and bring in more international help, and it's not like Bush isnt trying to do the same.

It's a bit more complicated than this sports analogy.

Personally, I had probs with Kerry since he advocated an agressive anti-Russia stance, and also in fact am glad that Bush gets to reap all the benefits of his Iraq fiasco, with interest. Just for that I gladly see him back in office... (Ain't I one mean bastard...)

If you really want to compare this to sports, than it's much longer than halftime. It would more like putting in a new coach after two unsuccessful seasons.
hm. sports analogies. hm. oh well, all i can say is that changing a presidency in the middle of a war-time situation is never a good idea.

all of you forgot that the war is officially over. granted, three times more americans died after it was declared over than before that, but it's over, gentlemen. yep, that's right. it's over. what, you don't believe me?

am i to assume you're only addressing kai and kenny here?...and if so, should i be offended?  ???
actually, the use of major military operations is over, but the war on terror lives on. It's no different from the US really. If the US was invaded successfully, the civilians would never give up. La Resistance would become an american fad and we would continue to fight. Afterall, a lot of us are stubborn.
Only problem if the war is really on "terror," then the war will never end, as terror never dies and there will always be terrorists.

As with Vietnam, it's impossible to win against stubborn people on their own turf... Especially when this consists of thousands of buildings and alleys.

Yep, the war against American Terror in Iraq goes on and on.  :D Just kidding (half).

Anyway I was talking about the "War in Iraq" here. Also, that one was hardly related to terrorism. The only terrorists in Iraq are the ones that were created due to the invasion. WMD? Al-qaeda links? Gimme a break.  :kungfu:

Gift: Actually, I was adressing you, but there is no need to be offended - my comment was in no way personal or meant to be offensive. The reason I made that comment was because from what I gather it's just not a "war-time situation" anymore. And because your comment reminded me of "Wag the Dog", when they have this really cheesy commercial about how you don't change horses half-way through the race.

Just because Uncle Sam is capitalizing on the timing of "Alert Level Orange" and keeping the US citizenry in perpertual fear of terrorism doesn't mean there's any kind of "war-time situation". Other countries live with insurgencies on their own soil and don't make as big a problem out of it as the USA, right? (China, Spain, the UK come to mind...)

So, maybe this provocative post will stir some sentiments. And remember, I was FOR Bush winning this election.  :unclesam:
