sooooo, i know some people don't really remember their dreams, and i'm exactly that way, myself, except if the dream is completely nonsensical. THEN, for some reason, my body decides to let me remember it. i guess it figures, "what the hell?" soooo...one of my more recent nonsensicals?
i was at a hotel that kind of reminded me of the one i stayed in when i went to budapestwith habitat for humanity junior year only there was a pool and palm trees and it was obvious we (and by we, i mean really random people) were in some tropical hotel place. for some reason, while i was at the pool, i looked up and actually saw a tornado form. like in those national geographic movies, and it started to come toward us, but everyone thought i was just being stupid by trying to get everyone to run away. then for some reason, i was suddenly in some playground that wasn't anywhere near my little tropical island paradise, and i was with my sister and this other girl i only sort of know. and then cary shields (broadway: rent, taboo- pericas, you know about him
) and joshua kobak (also broadway sort-of-friend: rent) were wandering around, don't ask me why they were at a playground. i love swings so i LOVE playgrounds, but anyway. he came up to heather, and she ignored him for a bit, and then decided that it was okay to start talking to him again. and then he saw me and introduced himself and i told him he already knew me. and then heather said something about marines in bow ties? this was followed by a discussion between cary and i discussing my vibrantly coloured toe socks, which, as you know are my treasures in life. i'm not sure about the details but somehow i got off my swing to put on my shoes (i know, socks and no shoes in a playground?!) and he stole my swing, and then i went to beat him and it turned into a raucous chase around the park that ended when some old man came out and started yelling at all of us...
um...yeah. that's all.
The funny thing is that I'll often remember my dream perfectly when I wake up, but then forget it within ten or twenty minutes.
I once dreamed I was a lemon.
All right, before I forget everything this time...
I just woke up from the most insane night of dreaming that I've ever had.
Let me explain the background: This weekend (Friday included) I worked a total of three shifts at Target, and barely slept in-between. Yesterday afternoon I barely made it home. I went right to bed, and slept a total of 15 hours (6:30 PM to 9:30 AM)!
During this period I had at least four distinct dreams, and, as I must have been so tired, I couldn't force myself to wake up out of them, like I usually can. And the in the last three I didn't even realize I was in one, as I usually do.
I'm not even going to mention the content of the dreams, except one, that ironically enough featured me at work and not having enough sleep, and then waking up at home and not realizing whether I should be at work or not.
hm...no juicy details...this is useless to me!
Hah, no, you're going to have to get me drunk beyond belief for those details.
that can be arranged...bwah ha ha ha ha
This morning I selected an album on my iPod and went to sleep on my easy chair.
The dream always had the music playing in it, no matter when I went! At one point in the dream I furiously pulled out all the speakers and power cables in my apartment, but can't get the music to stop!
Never had that happen before.
